Generation Mental Health is:
Accessible and Inclusive
We recognize the pernicious presence of racism, classism, sexism and neocolonialism in the global mental health field, past and present. We commit to actively practising anti-racism and non-discrimination in all aspects of our work. We are focused on improving representation of underrepresented minorities in the global mental health field and providing training opportunities that center equity.
We are inspired by the wisdom held by people. We are committed to practising co-creation with those who will receive our services and creating a space for collaboration of all stakeholders. Our interventions are inherently focused on empowering individuals through strengths-based practices to create the change they want to see while also practising self-care.
We are driven by an aspirational vision of what the world can be: a place where all people can live to their fullest potential with good mental health. In order to do this, we think about ensuring our work has lasting impact at a systems-level. We will challenge boundaries to push the world towards this vision.
